A Room of One's Own
If you only need a room to crash in, Wallace offers modern hotels, retro motels, and historic old bordello rooms. The historic hotel rooms often have shared bathrooms, but make up for the inconvenience with a unique experience and tons of charm. For modern hotels check out The Wallace Inn or the newly renovated yet vintage Stardust Motel; historic rooms are available at places like the Ryan Hotel or the Lux Rooms above Silver Corner bar.
If you're looking for full living quarters (kitchens, living areas, perhaps a yard or laundry machines), there are quaint cottages, Victorian homes, downtown lofts, and more that can be rented by the night, weekend, or longer. Most of the town's vacation rentals are listed on AirBnB or VRBO; some can be booked directly with the owners to skip the booking fees. |
A Breath of Fresh Air
For those who prefer a little less town and a little more nature, you can pitch a tent, park your RV, or rent a dry cabin within a stone's throw of Wallace or further afield. There's lots of public/BLM land surrounding Wallace where you're allowed to set up camp, or go the more organized route like staying at the Wallace RV park next to City Limits Brewpub. Find the middle ground between rustic and RV park with private campsites in natural settings listed on www.Hipcamp.com.
